Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen was on track to being one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. His big break came in 1986 when he starred in Oliver Stone’s Oscar winning epic "Platoon", and as Bud Fox in the 1987 film "Wall Street". Then things turned bad. Sheen had a reputation as a hard-partying, womanizer, with a serious drink and drug problem. His downward spiral continued until he got the role of Charlie Harper in the hit TV show "Two and a Half Men". In 2010, Sheen was the highest paid actor on television, earning $1.8 million per episode.

Hanes clothing company stopped showing commercials starring Charlie Sheen after his arrest on domestic violence charges. Sheen spent much of Christmas Day in jail after his wife told police he threatened to kill her during a row in the ski resort of Aspen, Colorado. Hanes spokesman Matt Hall said: “It’s a pretty standard, straightforward call when somebody who’s in your commercials is arrested on suspicion of something of this magnitude." After the scandal, Sheen was also fired from his role "Two and a Half Men".
