International football superstar Wayne Rooney. In 2010 the Sunday Times rich list revealed Rooney was worth a staggering £33million at the age of just 24. On top of his £5.2million Manchester United salary Rooney also earned £7.3million from his tightly controlled image rights. He has racked up millions in sponsorship deals by employing brand and PR mangers to create a lucrative image as a wholesome family man.
Rooney is alleged to have spent several nights with a £1,200 per session hooker named Jenny Thompson, while his wife Colleen was pregnant. In the few short weeks following these revelations, he is reported to have lost a staggering £12 million. Coca-Cola has said “good-bye” and his other endorsements are in jeopardy.
